Dr. Julie Giuliani
Dr. Julie Giuliani has over 30 years of experience in higher education and over 12 years experience in corporate training and marketing. She received her B.A. in Speech/Communication from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and M.A. in Human Resource Development and Training from Northeastern Illinois University and Ed.D. in Adult Education and Administrative Leadership from Northern Illinois University. Dr. Giuliani has held training and development positions in the manufacturing and service areas. She currently teaches online for Florida State College at Jacksonville and also taught as an adjunct in the business masters program at National Louis University and at Northeastern Illinois University. In 2010, Dr. Giuliani attended the Harvard Institute for Management and Leadership in Education.
For the past 12 years, Dr. Julie Giuliani managed several distance learning programs at a number of educational institutions. Currently, she is Dean of External Affairs, Technology Strategy and Innovation at Florida State College in Jacksonville, Open Campus. In her prior position as Executive Dean of the Virtual College she had oversight of 230 adjunct faculty and 1,100 online course sections. In her most current position, as Dean of External Affairs, Technology Strategies and Innovation, Dr. Giuliani is responsible for the strategic use of emerging technologies to heighten online instructional quality, as well as, launching Return to Learn in the Digital Age continuing education programs.
